About this day
Plenty of travellers are moving from Auckland to Rotorua anyway, and would rather spend that day looking around than sitting on the motorway. A one-way scenic day does both jobs at once: it is your transfer between the two towns and your day of sightseeing, in one private vehicle with one driver.
You are picked up from your Auckland hotel, home or the airport with your bags, and dropped at your Rotorua accommodation at the end of the day. What happens in between is up to you — the Waikato countryside, the movie set at Matamata, a lake or a thermal stop, or simply a relaxed run with a decent lunch somewhere.
If you would rather return to Auckland the same evening, that is a return day tour instead and we will quote it that way. Either shape works — just tell us on the booking form where you want the day to finish.

You can do a return day, back in Auckland that evening with the same accommodation waiting for you — or a one-way day, where we collect you and your luggage in Auckland, sightsee along the way and drop you at your accommodation in the next town. Auckland out to Rotorua, or Christchurch through to Queenstown, are two of the most popular one-way days we drive.
Either way it is one private vehicle, one driver and one fixed price agreed before you travel. Just tell us on the booking form where you want the day to start and where you want it to finish, and whether your bags are coming with you.
