Why a private driver for the day
The Otago Peninsula is the reason most people book a day here: a narrow, beautiful road out along the harbour with wildlife at the end of it. Beyond that there is the coast north and south of the city and the road inland towards Central Otago.
The peninsula road in particular is far more enjoyable from the passenger seat than the driver's, and the wildlife venues run on timed bookings that reward arriving on schedule.
We also collect from cruise ships at Port Chalmers and from Dunedin Airport, so a day tour can slot straight into an arrival or a ship day.
Return day or one-way? Both work — decide before you book
A private day tour does not have to finish where it started. You can do a return day, back in Dunedin that evening with the same accommodation waiting for you — or a one-way day, where we collect you and your luggage in Dunedin, sightsee along the way and drop you at your accommodation in the next town. Auckland out to Rotorua, or Christchurch through to Queenstown, are two of the most popular one-way days we drive.
Either way it is one private vehicle, one driver and one fixed price agreed before you travel. Just tell us on the booking form where you want the day to start and where you want it to finish, and whether your bags are coming with you.
